The G20 Summit in Bali last November was also equipped with electric vehicles from several manufacturers for business operations. Sales of electric cars in Indonesia are even higher than hybrid cars.

Here are seven electric car batteries launched in Indonesia throughout 2022:

1. Hyundai Ioniq 5
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car was launched in March 2022. The Ioniq 5 is Hyundai's first car to use the Hyundai Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) platform. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 consists of four variants with different prices, namely Ioniq 5 Prime Standard Range Rp. 718,000,000, Ioniq 5 Prime Long Range Rp. 759,000,000, Ioniq 5 Signature Standard Range Rp. 779,000,000, and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Signature Long Range for Rp. 829,000,000.

2. MINI Electric Model
MINI Indonesia has officially launched a full electric car, the MINI Electric, in June 2022. In one full charge, MINI Electric is claimed to be able to travel up to 232 kilometers. The MINI Electric is priced at IDR 945 million (off-the-road), while the MINI Electric Collection is IDR 955 million (off-the-road).

3. BMW iX and i4
BMW Indonesia released two electric car models, namely the BMW iX and BMW i4 at the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), last August.

The BMW iX electric car is the result of the BMW Group's new technological advantages in presenting innovations related to electric vehicles and digitization. The average power consumption of the BMW iX xDrive40 in the WLTP cycle is below 20 kWh per 100 km. The BMW iX xDrive40 can recharge the high voltage battery up to 200 kW.

4. Wuling Air EV
Wuling in August 2022 introduced the Wuling air ev electric car to the Indonesian market. Wuling Air EV carries an electric motor with a maximum power of 30 kW.

The car's power is delivered via a Single Reduction Gear transmission to the rear wheels. Wuling uses a lithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 17.3 kWh for the Standard Range type with a range of up to 200 km.

The price for the cute electric car Wuling air EV is IDR 238 million (Standard Range variant) and IDR 295 million (Long Range variant) on the road in DKI Jakarta.

5. Toyota All New BZ4X
The All New BZ4X is an electric vehicle launched by Toyota in Indonesia in November 2022. The BZ4X has 214 hp of power and a maximum torque of 266 Nm.

This car is imported directly from Japan in Completely Built Up (CBU) form. The basis for the e-TNGA platform is the refinement of the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA).

The Toyota BZ4X electric car costs IDR 1.19 billion on the road in Jakarta.

7. Mercedes-Benz EQS and EQE
PT Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia (MBDI) through the Mercedes-EQ brand has enlivened the premium class electric car market in Indonesia by introducing The New Mercedes-Benz EQS and The New Mercedes-Benz EQE. The EQS series has two variants, namely the EQS 450+ AMG Line and the EQS 450+ Electric Art..

Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ Electric Art sells for IDR 2,984,000,000 in Jakarta. Meanwhile, the EQS 450+ AMG Line costs IDR 3,410,000,000.

The price for the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art is cheaper than the EQS, which is IDR 2,215,000,000.
